Watch Dhurandhar 2 Trailer: Biggest Moments Revealed

The trailer of Dhurandhar: The Revenge has finally been unveiled, and the excitement around the film is already massive. Within just two hours of opening advance bookings, the film reportedly sold tickets worth nearly ₹4 crore, showing the huge anticipation among fans.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the first Dhurandhar film, released in December, turned out to be a historic blockbuster at the box office. Now, roughly three months later, the sequel is ready to hit theatres, promising a bigger and more intense story.

The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a daring R&AW agent who operates undercover as a gangster named Hamza. The story continues from where the first film ended, with Hamza gaining full control over the dangerous town of Lyari while secretly working to dismantle a major terror network operating from Pakistan.

The newly released trailer offers glimpses of Hamza’s transformation—from an undercover operative into a powerful figure inside the criminal world. It also hints at the intense challenges he faces as his mission becomes more dangerous and personal.

Several actors from the original film return in the sequel, including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The first film’s success was largely driven by its powerful ensemble cast. Akshaye Khanna delivered a particularly memorable performance that continued to trend on social media months after the film’s release. Sanjay Dutt impressed audiences as a fearless police officer, while Rakesh Bedi brought comic relief through his clever politician character. R Madhavan served as the story’s moral compass, and Arjun Rampal stood out as the film’s formidable antagonist.

Despite the strong performances across the cast, it was Ranveer Singh who carried the emotional core of the story. For the actor, Dhurandhar became a major turning point in his career. After a few underperforming releases, the film helped him regain his box-office dominance.

The original film achieved remarkable commercial success, collecting around ₹838.5 crore in domestic net revenue and reaching a global gross of ₹1,305.35 crore. The film’s electrifying music and background score by Shashwat Sachdev also played a major role in its popularity.

Interestingly, the film faced bans in certain parts of the Middle East. However, it still gained massive attention internationally. In Pakistan, it reportedly became one of the most pirated films, while fans in cities like Dubai even travelled to India to watch it in theatres, as revealed by R Madhavan.

With the sequel, the makers hope to build on this momentum. Dhurandhar: The Revenge is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, coinciding with Eid celebrations, with special preview screenings beginning on March 18.

Given the strong fan anticipation and early ticket sales, the film is already shaping up to be one of the most awaited releases of the year. 🎬🔥
