The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two alleged overground workers linked to the terror outfit Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH) in connection with the November 10, 2025 explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort.
The accused — Zameer Ahmad Ahangar from Ganderbal and Tufail Ahmad Bhat from Srinagar — are suspected of supplying weapons to the main attacker involved in the blast, officials said on Wednesday.
With these latest arrests, the total number of people detained in the case has risen to 11. The explosion killed 12 people, including the primary accused Umer Un Nabi, who was driving the vehicle used in the attack.
Investigators revealed that the blast occurred when a Hyundai i20 car, driven by Nabi, exploded near the Red Fort on the evening of November 10. Nabi, a native of Pulwama, was reportedly working at Al-Falah University in Faridabad.
According to agencies, the attack may have been carried out hastily as security forces intensified a multi-state crackdown on a suspected “white-collar terror module.” In the days leading up to the incident, coordinated raids across Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, and other regions resulted in the seizure of nearly 3,000 kilograms of explosives along with materials used for making bombs.
The investigation into the terror network and its wider links is currently ongoing.
